Just a thought. John White of Bacta , the trade association for amusement arcades, was one of the staunchist supporters of the £2 FOBT stake ( not surprisingly ). Now that the bookmakers realise how profitable machines can be wouldn’t this be a fairly obvious counter measure?

Yes the distinction between FOBTs and AWPs will pretty much disappear and with it the restriction on number of machines.
