Id say stands

2nd leans over the winner as well as winner leaning in plus right on line

When: 14 May 18 16:47

Very hard to tell whether the interference is before or after the line. If it's before he goes, if not he stays.

very difficult to judge whether the bang with the 2nd happened b4/on/or after line

Willie Shafter.
When: 14 May 18 16:48
i say stands..happened as crossed line..didnt effect result.

Interference to the 4th before the line but that's irrelevant. Not sure he interfered with Spirit before the line.

happened last stride but FPP caused 2nd's back end to be clouted...if you win an inch and cause any interference, dont think you can have many complaints at being chucked

Willie Shafter.
When: 14 May 18 17:06
i concur with chris dixon..in no way did it cost the 2nd the race.
By:
tomhunt
When: 14 May 18 17:06
if you slowed it right down it was 5yds before line..

The swerve/collision didnt cost the 2nd the race. winner would have won a neck 1/2 lenght without it

When: 14 May 18 17:10
If you look at the shadow of the winning post on the grass on the side on ...the end of it finishes about a yard from the winning line - the seconds back end was taken away at least a yard before this on the head on

Not that i think it effected the result...

* at least a yard...should have read about a yard

not sure how you can be so certain that a horse getting back-end knocked sidewards def didnt cost it a nose...i suspect it didnt but certainly couldnt be certain...fair enough to give benefit of doubt to non-aggressor imo

Duncan - "if you win an inch and cause any interference, dont think you can have many complaints at being chucked".   You absolutely have cause for complaint because that does not represent the rule.   Was there interference, Yes,  Did the winner improved its position - ie would it have finished behind the second.  No, because the winner did not interfere with the second horse.  Simple really.
By:
duncan idaho
When: 14 May 18 17:18
winner did interfere with 2nd horse by knocking the 4th into it
