has gone backwards as a rider in my opinion and it's surely only a matter of time before he is sacked.

Dont know about being sacked but what he did there in Thirsk, can only be described as brain dead...

his riding lately has been horrendous, some clueless exhibitions on some fancied horses. Time for him to pack his bags and stick to the all weather tracks where he belongs

was never good enough in the first place, should've gotten Doyle.

Mike De Kock was very vocal saying he is useless..... regarding a ride he gave one at Meydan

Crowley will be measured by the owner for his success in group races and the 'big' festivals. Crowley's riding at the midweek 'gaff' tracks will not come into the equation, rightly or wrongly. The owner showed a lot of belief in Richard Hills by retaining him for a number of years.

Not sure Elsworth does. After all he employed Colin Brown for years

Silvestre and Doyle are miles ahead of him, Buick as well. This is a guy who was a mid-tier jump jockey, nobody would trust him to ride a Gold Cup horse, so why would you put him on something with pretensions of winning a Classic.

What does his previous life as a jump jockey have to do with anything? He was progressing nicely in that sphere before switching to the flat. There was a time when Silvestre spent 2 yrars in Dermot Weld's but didn't get a single ride and there was a time not that long ago when Doyle qualified as a plumber due to lack of opportunities in racing.

All 3 are now top class flat jockeys. Is that not enough

all afternoon watched jockeys lose races they should have won
Duke of North should have won - & so should  - thistimenextyear have won
both too far back - didn't close  - too much to do
to many get out of jail cards & excuses in  this game - no accountability

It seems to me that Hamdan is not the force of old,so a retained jockey probably not required anymore.

He'll always have a retained jockey, if only because he wants his horses ridden in a particular way, particularly fto's and his well bred fillies.

His best chance of a stallion prospect Muhararararto come..

But Crowley completely out of his depth.

Hardly household names.
Gone are the days when Hamdan always had 2 or 3 in the top quotes for the Classics.
My memory is long, so perhaps my view is somewhat blinded by his past golden era .
