what's the bloody fascination with stepping this monster up in trip, ffs he only opens his legs the last 150-200 yards when it really matters and just sprints away from his opposition, he is a 2 mile monster, leave him at it

Just getting lazier over time. Nico only asked him twice. Once going to the pond when he passed 2 others in the air and then after the last when he shot away. He always looks like a horse that would be quite happy to finish last if the jockey would let him. Never pulls at any stage of a race.

Ar Mad was jumping beautifully, right up until the point Holt mentioned it.

Fingers crossed.

That is just awful news about Ar Mad, it looked a horrible fall and he has paid the ultimate price. Very sad indeed.

I personally think had the 3rd not crashed through the 2nd last and the rider done well to stay on, then he would have made a race of it with the winner. Altior looks like he is crying out for 2m 4f to me.

As for Altior, 3 races in a year..its as if they're giving him time to get over more than just the races

Not a fan, but on the downgrade after what the horse has accomplished this season , you're having a giraffe.

High Chapparals need a bit of cajoling, especially on bad ground.

Surprised to see anyone knocking this 9/9 jet engine, but you can't please everyone.

just getting a bit lazy but certainly not on the downgrade...the horse is so good at 2 miles why not try further..nothing to lose in my opinion

Altior has a turn of foot also he is a superb leaper of fences both of which which make a huge difference.  Clearly suited by better ground than he has had to face this year I reckon he is nailed on for the King George and only Might Bite might prevent connections from going down that route.

bromley says he wants to smash altior in the tingle creek with footpad whether willie is compliant with that plan is a different matter
