Can anyone give me advice on this please

They are quoting me £130 for VIP hospitality tickets with seat, buffet and drinks.

Has anyone been before and is it worth it? 28 people ping rathervsoend more than £8 admission fee for general entry but at the same time don’t want to be moaned at!

Any advice be much appreciated- have emailed the racecourse but not much use in telling me much!

Is this from the course directly or a UK tour operator? I lived in Czech Republic for six years and went to VP twice and that sounds steep but most probably related to the 'open bar' as even though drinks prices there are about one third of here, it only takes a few to go OTT on the wine/spirits to make a big dent in £130. Suggest you ask them for a price without the drinks package...

You can just pay for entry, but if you want a good view of the racing or fancy resting your legs at some point then it is worth purchasing a seat in one of the stands.
