Absolutely hideous overrounds, a complete scandal. But having said that the 222% is not the worst I've ever seen.
After racing at the Rose of Tralee festival we went to the dog stadium afterwards, everyone there was somewhat worse for wear to put it mildly. One race that has always stuck in my mind was when the "layers" went 4/6 co favourites of 4, evens and 5/4 the rag ![]() |

Was at a point-to-point yesterday in Waterford. Second race, twelve runners, price range from 2/1 to 6/1. Betting to over 260%.
Doubt if the four bookies were turning over a lot, but at those margins they wouldn't need to. |
