Surely a stewards.
Clear run wins easily. |
By:
No surprise,believe it
By:
What difference if it is 1/2 length.
If it didnt have to switch it would have won easily. Crazy times. |
By:
Backed the winner. Cannot believe there's no stewards. WTF are they there for?
Anywhere else in the World result is reversed. British rules are a joke! |
By:
The second was robbed
By:
There is a stewards enquiry
By:
There is a stewards enquiry, think the winnereill keep
By:
How can the winner keep the race
If it didnt interfere with the runner up he would have lost the race |
By:
How can you tell pocket talking !!!
By:
Both went for the rail, second never upsides. Ridiculous if reversed.
By:
Just took 5's on runner up so in good shape either way but still think this should come down.If it doesn't then the stews are blind.
By:
should be chicked
but british stewards are a joke |
By:
How can it take so long to come to a decision? You could randomly pick three from this forum and a decision would have been made 10 mins ago!
By:
result stands
By:
Result stands what a total fucXXX joke
You can do anything and not get chucked out in this country |
By:
Total lottery
By:
It's going to take a jockey being killed before the half-wits at the BHA do anything about the stupid rules . (NOT pocket talking as I backed the
winner at 27.0). |
By:
if you dont like the rules of racing here , dont bet on it ffs
By:
To be honest I backed the second. Yes maybe it should have been awarded the race but all in all it was a god awful ride....
By:
In one sense you are right, granit. The smart ride was on the winner. Seeing the other coming to pass on the inside she cut it off knowing that the
chances were the stewards might give her a holiday but were unlikely to reverse the result if she won by more than a pixel! |
By:
I backed the 2nd but my point is that if it had won by a short head it would have been reversed.
What is the difference between a short head and half a length as the move changed the result of the race so should be reversed. |
By:
i missed this live but watching the replay i think that should have gone. What was the betting pls?
By:
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference approximately a furlong out when the winner, BELIEVE IT (IRE), ridden by Nicola Currie, drifted right-handed, away from the whip, causing OUD METHA BRIDGE, placed second, ridden by Shelley Birkett, to have to take a check and switch left. The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved BELIEVE IT (IRE)’s placing as the horse had won by half a length and always appeared to be holding the second. Currie was cautioned for careless riding as she allowed her horse to drift right on to the rail when not sufficiently clear.

Spot on roggrain. You couldn’t be more right there.
By:
‘Always appearing to hold the 2nd’....what a load of b*llocks! Bad ride on the 2nd though. Any jockey with a brain could have won on that easy....
By:
That is a shocking explanation
Being mowed down near the end As I said total lottery !!! |
By:
One of the big firms needs to payout the second as goodwill gesture to undermine the stewards
By:
Agree with the stewards.
It didn't seem to be getting on terms before it was snatched up. And the winner could have found more if challenged. The fact that the second was gaining towards the line after the winner had done its running, doesn't mean it could have passed it earlier. How many horses win going away? |
By:
winning distance of 1/2 length is always tricky to reverse for the reasons you mention but saying it was always holding the 2nd is NOT what happened
By:
The winner looked to be holding the second to me TheFear.
He gave it a crack before he snatched it up as well. |
