Agreed, a great guy as well. In the early days when Brocade racing had their first success I stopped Colin one day at Newbury and asked if they sold shares as I thought it must be a racing syndicate club but Colin replied that they were neighbouring farmers who owned 100% of the horses. As a farmer myself I wondered what sort of farm it was until Colin with that wicked smile caught my arm and said "mind you they did sell a big block of land for building" Could not happen to a better team.
