And they keep complaining about the British handicapper! For me there are 2 factors, first the deep pockets of some of the owners and second the ease of getting horses well handicapped in big field Irish races. Much harder in 4-6 runner GB novice races.

They seem to do it any way. Penhill first time out was extraordinary (Cyborgo the last to do that), Balko had 4 runs to UDS 2 and Cue Card 3. Shattered Love 5 runs, Delta Work 7.
