Morning Foxy, you can lay a bit of 6 for the supreme.
Report foxy March 10, 2018 8:58 AM GMT
good morning ribero

thats money for nothing is it not ribero after all connections say its not even been considered unless of course they are thinking back to vautour steeling the ryanair away from them.
Report ribero1 March 10, 2018 9:05 AM GMT
Drifting for the Ballymore, who'd have thought it!
Report foxy March 10, 2018 9:13 AM GMT
it would make for a cracking opener to the meeting.
Report foxy March 10, 2018 9:38 AM GMT
well thats sorted that out then well done mr elliot he could not have made it any clearer.
Report ribero1 March 10, 2018 9:38 AM GMT
Looks as though its the Ballymore looking at markets now.
Report foxy March 10, 2018 9:47 AM GMT
elliot just stated he does not care about the ground he goes for the ballymore .
Report foxy March 10, 2018 9:48 AM GMT
hopefully they will meet at punchestown

The big novice hurdle showdown is Samcro v Next Destination, not Samcro v Getabird imo
Report foxy March 10, 2018 9:57 AM GMT
he wont have met a horse like next destination before premier hopefully he will not run friday.
Report koikeeper March 10, 2018 11:09 AM GMT
Samcro will win where ever it turns up... cant see anything to touch it!
Report portmanpark March 10, 2018 11:58 AM GMT
Think the Ballymore is the easier of the 2 races.

you won't find many who will agree with you on that

Anyone betting Samcro odds on is crazy, he has done nothing to justify that (he may be the second coming but he has not proved that on the course).

Times are nothing more than average and there is nothing between him and Next Destination on form lines through Duc Des Genievres.

Samcro 4/6 and NS 9/2 is madness.  (whatever the eventual outcome)
Report portmanpark March 10, 2018 12:11 PM GMT
think the 2 in the supreme look potential top class.......cant see those horses in the ballymore
Report portmanpark March 10, 2018 12:12 PM GMT
wonder...........he wouldn't be 4\6 in the supreme
Report wondersobright March 10, 2018 12:16 PM GMT
he's not 4/6 in the ballymore
Report foxy March 10, 2018 12:25 PM GMT
no sparrow to short for me i was just interested in the way the market was going.
Report sparrow March 10, 2018 12:30 PM GMT
I was going to say foxy that it's no good punting on here until nearer the off time.
Report foxy March 10, 2018 12:36 PM GMT
the firm compete well next week sparrow i should think for most punters the value will be in the shops i know its not always easy to get on but those with the time and dont mind the effort will be rewarded.

Equine , I remember you posting something similar before it's last run..
Your eyes tell you everything...its not just the form book.
Report sparrow March 10, 2018 12:40 PM GMT
I should think I will only have a couple of bets there as I bet very little over the jumps these days. I do enjoy watching it though.
Report equine flew March 10, 2018 12:44 PM GMT
It's a fair point Koi, and visually it has been impressive.   If you have the fancy prices, good luck to you.   I am not anti the horse and would love to have a champion from this generation, but how anyone can justify the current price I am mot sure.

And yes you are correct mate.. I did oppose it last time... to my considerable cost Plain
Report foxy March 10, 2018 12:47 PM GMT
it will be great sparrow i know theres a few non runners but no more than normal, the stayers hurdle and the triumph hurdle look very deep races ,i totally agree with equine flew 1209 post ,if the horse proves himself on wednesday then thats great and we can all look forward to his career in the future.
Report wondersobright March 10, 2018 1:12 PM GMT
your horse got his ground in the stayers foxy
lost nichols canyon along the way can only be a help
Report foxy March 10, 2018 1:22 PM GMT
so far he has wondersobright things can change by thursday having said that good to soft would be fine ,its a very hard race plenty with chances i did back him at 28s after haydock but i am under no illusions how open a race the stayers hurdle is this year.

Can Elliot declare Samcro for Supreme tommorrow and Ballymore on monday @ 48 hr decs???
Report foxy March 10, 2018 4:06 PM GMT
i dont see why not geoff although he has said he wont be doing.
Report stormey1 March 10, 2018 4:17 PM GMT
Cannot declare for 2 different races.New rule this year that along with 48hr decs all races
Report foxy March 10, 2018 4:25 PM GMT
thanks stormey thats good to hear.
Report geoff m March 10, 2018 4:33 PM GMT
cheers stormey. The other was footpad  could unseat rider @ 1st then JLT would have been an option in the past
Report portmanpark March 10, 2018 4:38 PM GMT
still wouldn't be surprised if samcro ends up the supreme.wouldnt trust that lot.
Report impossible123 March 10, 2018 5:07 PM GMT
10am tomorrow is d-day for Samcro if Supreme bound, similarly 10am monday for Footpad for the Arkle.

I do prefer this new 48hr decs, it stops the likes of Mullins/Ricci taking the michael to the last min.

Why has the Arkle been changed to a Wednesday slot ?
Report impossible123 March 10, 2018 5:54 PM GMT
Apology, typo error. I was thinking of Presenting Percy when typing. Footpad is 10am tomorrow similar to Samcro.

OTBS the only pre-NRNB I had - backed it after being there at cheltenham when it won....the preview night rumours were correct then, shame the trainer (or indeed owners son who i saw on one preview night described as a pro-punter, my erse!) didn't say something earlier
Report foxy March 10, 2018 6:17 PM GMT
gordon i have never known a period where there have been so many pro punters.
Report Gordon63 March 10, 2018 6:28 PM GMT
indeed! with his daddys money, i'm sure he can withstand a few ante-post losses...
Report impossible123 March 10, 2018 6:39 PM GMT
Someone knew something was untoward a few days prior, and acted profitably here.

That brings my anteposts non-runner to 3 so far ie OTBS, Death Duty and Sizing John. Hope that is the last one - here's hoping.
Report foxy March 10, 2018 7:07 PM GMT
i wonder if this mornings carry on with samcro on here was in fact a spoof so people would then back on the blind side ?
Report equine flew March 11, 2018 8:13 AM GMT
Despite saying it would DEFINITELY run in the Ballymore irrespective of the ground (via Chapman on the Morning Line), last night at the Betfair preview night he said "it would need to be proper heavy ground for him to go for the Supreme over the Ballymore."

Not quite the same message.. glad when it is all over later today.  However, with Ballymore cutting up, that seems the right decision
Report the bloob March 11, 2018 9:11 AM GMT

Not long to wait now but still hopeful for supreme based on below

Claisse added: "The heaviest ground is behind the two-mile starts, and so only affects races over two-and-a-half and four miles, but where we have the intersections of the Old and New courses – in front of the stands, at the end of the back straight, and at the bottom of the hill as they turn for home – those areas are heavy too."
Report Deptford March 11, 2018 10:00 AM GMT
Most of the course then!!

10 inches of snow last week and the loon claise live on tv saying the ground was good underneath, the equally looney pundit hadn't the nouse to ask where the water off 1000,s of tons of melting snow was going to go
