i'd had £700 on in photo...thought no chance of a reversal but ive seen way too many bad decisions to start crashing in at 1.03..it went on that long i was getting twitchy and could green up for £64...thought not worth the sweat for another £18.
for once it went in my favour..still a shocking decision imo.

who laid the 1.03 anyone?
Report big dunc February 15, 2018 6:26 PM GMT
Runner up gave Paddy 2 or 3 bumps

the winner gives Paddy one bump

either kick both out or result stands.

Lets have central stewards, this nervous idiot talking now live on TV (Tony McGlone) just mumbled, put no plausible reason to justify the disqualification, if this logic was applied to all races, they would be getting thrown out left, right and centre....   IDIOT

Shocking decision, too much doubt to reverse. Doubt there would have been any complaints if the result had stood. Obviously the Chelmsford stewards like to play God, another example of why centralised stewarding is required. Millions of pounds at stake and jokers like these deciding where it goes.

I laid 1.02 and 1.05, still lost £8 on the race though. Poor decision in my view, but always best not to get heavily involved when it's only a nose as the winning distance seems to be the main factor for these clueless clowns.

Report GEORGE.B February 15, 2018 7:10 PM GMT
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference on the run to the line between the winner, TED’S BROTHER (IRE), ridden by Miss A. Peck, TAGUR (IRE), placed second and ridden by Miss H. T. Lees, and PADDY A (IRE), placed third and ridden by Mr S. Walker. The Stewards considered that the interference had improved TED’S BROTHER (IRE)’s placing as TAGUR (IRE) was bumped and had its hindquarters turned and the ground and momentum lost was deemed to be more than the official winning distance of a nose. However, it was considered that the interference had not affected PADDY A (IRE)’s placing. The placings were revised as follows: First – TAGUR (IRE); Second – TED’S BROTHER (IRE); Third – PADDY A (IRE). Miss. A. Peck was cautioned for careless riding as she allowed her mount to drift slightly left causing PADDY A (IRE) to be checked, which in turn bumped and slightly turned the hindquarters of TAGUR (IRE).
Report howard February 15, 2018 7:27 PM GMT
Tagur had pushed Paddy into Ted's in the first place. So in future it's OK if you push a third horse halfway across the track into a first past the post but because of that you then get slight interference yourself you get the race ?Crazy

who laid the 1.03 anyone?

Did, but only because I'd heavily laid the second (since the winner), and wanted to cover the loss, didn't think for a moment really it would come in as a lay on the FPP, still crazy decision.
Report hulk23 February 15, 2018 8:11 PM GMT

no hulk never...i risk sometimes £20,000 in photos and inquirys...but this game is so hard now and after spending all day winning £600 and having £700 on in the photo i didnt think for 1 min it would get chucked...as stated it went on and on and i was amazed it hadnt drifted...offered me a £64 green up so rather than end up losing if the worst happened i took it and ran.

simply fluked up.
Report Willie Shafter. February 15, 2018 8:58 PM GMT
so basically...no-one laid this 1.03 apart from those greening up?

1.08 early doors when the market opened, was speculative, and not big stakes. once i'd seen the head on i regretted it tbh but it had come in so much by then that it wasn't worth taking the red.

Report Willie Shafter. February 15, 2018 9:39 PM GMT
