I hope he sticks to the Ballymore from a selfish point of view  having double figure prices on Getabird for the Supreme and there is no doubt that Samcro is a machine.

Mick Fitz thinks he’ll be favourite for whatever of the Novice races at Cheltenham he turns up in! So glad ATR flew him over for that invaluable insight...

He could be the business if all goes well.

I am sure Getabird would be 5 length ahead of Duc Des Genievres at home.

One of the owner's assertion he'd be a Gold Cup horse in 4/5 year's time would infer the Champion Hurdle is unlikely to be on the agendal; RSA next follow by the Gold Cup in 2020.

Ballymore/Neptune for me, but whichever race he runs at the Festival he'd be fav for sure.

He beat Jetz very easily over 2.5 miles so they know he stays and Jetz very nearly won a Grade 1 yesterday.

I think you're slightly older than me sageform and the first 20 years or so I was watching racing 5-y-os got 2lbs in the Champion Hurdle.

I asked mags o toole I in Newmarket last October how good is  samcro she said he is possible the best they will ever have for gigginstowns bet petite mouchoiur in a schooling hurdle race in thurles last autumn by 10 lengths backed him at 12s for  ballymore after she told me so fingers crossed

This one would serve it up to The Chemical one's entry in the Champion. No doubt in my mind. Cruising around! Would love to see it!

   Now forgive me for not being overly impressed by a horse that wins a Champion Hurdle. Still, I think the big race last year was as substandard a "Champion" as I have seen in recent years. This years is even less competitive so the favourite looks to have little to beat, unless Faugheen finds his true form. Nothing else in the race even warrants a mention. No superstar. I would be more than tempted to take the fav on with any horse as talented as Samcro. Beating Irving, John Constable and The New One sort of leaves me feeling there has to be something else out there to give this a race at the Festival.

I'd have Yorkhill and Samcro over Buveur D'air (BD) in the Champion Hurdle (CH) any day; BD won a sub-standard CH at 5/1 - the fav was Yanworth at 2/1. Where will Yanworth be running? Either the RSA or Stayers, both over 3m.

The present opposition are so poor with the only credible opponent Faugheen on the decline. Let's hope Yorkhill runs - he's entered.

if it lines up at cheltenham in one piece then any price is a gift. samcro is a monster, no further commentary is needed.

Visually very impressive but has hardly broken the clock yet. Admittedly hasn`t had to so far.

Now i have read some real daft comments on here over the years,but that has to be right up there with the daftest.
Not so much Yorkhill who has at least won a neptune......although currently hes shot to pieces and has shown nothing this season to warrant tipping to beat BD,and then a horse that has won a novice hurdle albeit visually impressive,but thats what hes done so far.....a long way from beating BD.

Yeah, if they were allowed to run one half each, seriously though, I'd have had Yorkhill over BD before yesterday, but until they get to the bottom of him I am at a loss with him.

As for BD, as for CH winners, I don't think he's a particularly good one, this year's renewal looks like desperate affair come the day, we're now resorting to what we've ben doing for the past few years in the QM and Arkle, in looking for an outsider e/w that'll be ridden to pick up a place.

Pretty much Faultless imo. Has everything needed in abundance as far as i can see.

BD was beaten fairly and squarely by Altior and Min in the Supreme. And at 4/6 BD I'd take a chance with Yorkhill at 16/1 (nrnb billies) for value cos' if the real Yorkhill turns up ie Neptune winner, a surprise result is not an impossibility, all things being equal. But I think something is clearly amiss with Yorkhill in the Champion Chase trial as he was never going - the broken bone in his foreleg perhaps. And with hindsight Mullins would probably admit it was a mistake running him in a Grade 1 chase 1st time on yielding without a prep race.

I'd back Min (even at 3/1) in the CH over BD if Min was diverted there, and he'd have an excellent chance too; BD is no great CH winner but the best of a mediocre bunch.

struggle to see what buveir d'air has done wrong personally, that you think all these hopeful horses would have a chance of beating him. I wouldn't back yorkhill with stolen money myself.

surely any logical appraisal of the situation makes him a banker. plenty of horses in the past have won multiple champion hurdles.

Yorkhill must be the most over rated horse in training since stepping into open company he has been well beaten. He just looks a horse who has lost interest with the game. Not even having Ruby back on would persuade me into backing him at Cheltenham wherever he turns up.
Min is the only horse I could see challenging BD but the chances of him running in the CH looks extremely unlikely.
