This filthy rag had done nothing over the years except stab punters in the back. Recently as the Guardian pointed out they front page headlined the blatant lie that FOBT's at £2 per throw would be a disaster for Racing, a blatant lie. I would encourage everyone to boycott the RP and use the superior option AtTheraces of any other of your choice. If you value Racing and more importantly the pound in your pocket walk away from the Racing Post

I did resubscribe when they reinstated the replays. Yes I do begrudge that somewhat but the fact is it's worth it for the time it saves having them all in one place.

i suppose they are caught between a rock and a hard place.the bookies pay a huge slice of their revenue in advertising.the bookies obviously have told them to print headlines of doom  etc  to try and retain the crack cocaine machines in shops(the "shops will close " argument is so spurious im surprised its even being used as everyone knows the number is only so high because of the crack cocaone machines). but the racing public have a clear understanding of whats going on and arent buying any of it.  so poor bruce is getting it from every angle.

I make money by using it.
FOBT is nothing to do with me.
I do value the pound in my pocket.
Like Ive said I make profit, therefore I will carry on using it.
I know its a cliche ,but Im not gonna cut off my nose to spite my face.

The fobts is everyone's responsibility regardless of one's attitude to gambling; fobts induces addiction and prey on the most mentally venerable - they are built to trigger the pathways to one's brain. It is highly addictive and its existence and proliferation on the high street are socially unacceptable and damaging to the quality of the high street. The medical profession detest fobts more than any other strand of gambling, and that is fact.

So because the live racing is delayed that makes their whole site completely redundant Crazy

Re the free site do you notice the slight delay since the upgrade while the quick bet Bookmaker Adds load with the additional irritation that many will not be allowed a bet with those bookmakers.A boycott by punters no longer buying the paper is a good idea I suspect it is already happening but if you decide to follow in then spending a few mins e mailing them explaining why as per the OP and other matters if done by enough of us might just cause some much needed pause for thought and not just from Bruce.? Some inc myself will have already done so but it will be the many who would make the difference.

2 other reasons to boycott... Bruce's continued dumbing down. I click on news and invariably get some drivel like 5 things to look out for today. And secondly the inevitable price rise come Cheltenham,,,

If someone can tell me which site offer all the information on the newspaper print out - I will cancel today. I have not been able to find so many stats in one simple layout anywhere else but would be happy to change. They used to be free, then they cost 20p each, then they were free again and now you have to be a member which is £14.50 a month and I only use them for big meetings and Saturdays mainly.

I already have. Simply the organ does not deserve the support of punters.

The Guardian's final paragraph sums it up.

If racing loses out on media rights payments as a result of a cut to a £2 maximum on the machines, it will be money the sport has not earned and does not deserve. A return to focusing on betting and not gaming will be to the long-term benefit of racing and the bookies alike.

Oh, hold on though. The Guardian is not saying the money won't be lost. Rather it will be lost but that's OK because racing doesn't deserve it and then a miracle will happen and racing and betting will flourish. The precise nature of this miracle is unclear.

The Racing Post like the BHA sold it's soul to the devil by cosyig up to the bookmakers and continuing to do so. I must admit I do still buy it as I find the form layout a massive help when assessing a race together with online tools from elsewhere. I don't like the rag and the direction it's gone in being so ridiculously supportive of bookmakers but as someone said earlier  I can't cut off my nose to spite my face either. Long term we all know that racing needs to escape from the clutches of the bookmakers but no one will be brave enough to do it.
