the jockey on the winner had give up 2 out stopped riding,probably shows jockeys are more of a hinderance than a help to horses

I backed the winner in the win, place and first 3 markets and the jockey definitely gave up and but for the other horse falling, he would have accepted 3rd at best.

Which begs the question why give up for 2nd at worst if the other horse had not fallen?

The horse's greatest non-trying effort was at Down Royal in November behind Tombstone.  An absolute disgrace for which he would have been pulled in over here.
