had a win and place bet on the tote last Thursday that finished place but was settled as a loser.

still waiting for the issue to be corrected by Betfair

Latest message from betfair is suggesting this is just a Chrome browser problem.


Our exchange team are aware of the issues and advise to try an alternate browser to Chrome. Sorry once again.
I have been advised by the team responsible this is affecting Chrome only.



Can anyone using other browsers please comment.

It's not sparrow - Mozilla is desperate!  They're just buying time.

I am sending no more screenshots. I am telling you what is happening.  So far people are saying Firefox has the same problem. Your people should be doing their own checks.

We've checked from our end, and confirmed this only affecting Chrome users. If this is not the case we'd need you to send over Screenshots and we'll be able to investigate this further.

We're working to resolve the Chrome issues but please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with.

I only get it occasionally but I haven't even got Chrome downloaded on my laptop.

Guys... I started this thread over 2 weeks ago and it soon became apparent that the problem was across most (all ?) browsers. I have had repeated contact with BF CS and like Sparrow above have told them to do  their own work finding out the cause. Like others, I now get the feeling that I am just being fobbed off everytime....either they dont want to or are unable to fix the problem. They have been made repeatedly aware that its most browsers and the  lack of knowledge in the last reply to Sparrow is a kick in the teeth for users who have tried to help them sort out the problem.

This 'is there anything else I can do to help you today' Customer Services culture is so annoying...we just want you to SORT OUT what we have contacted you about IN THE FIRST PLACE !!!

I tried Firefox and it worked ok.  Maybe other users of different browsers can comment on any problems.

May be the Windows sparrow, I'm on an old version.

I'm on Windows 10 but I would've have thought that the browser version being up to date would be more of an issue.

firefox, ie, edge, chrome, on both win 7 and win 10 are all affected, fault is intermittent, definitely a html coding issue

I noticed the other old bug is back again today, where you click account history and it loads in the current tab instead of opening up a new window

I've been having another problem recently. I sometimes do't get the live stream tab on the win market. Have to switch to the place market and then back again. Am going to bet on the wrong market at some stage.
It is amazing how the site has become more full of holes over the years. I bet the Sportsbook is better.

(the grammatical errors are there's !) 29.01 I apologise for the time this is taking, I can assure that from the customer service end we have forwarded all your complaints that you brought forward to get the issue sorted as soon as possible.        The thread forum you helped in getting the issue raised and to show the gravity of the situation.      Our last communication with the department, we were told that the issue priority is currently being revalidated.   We would hope this directly results in a resolution and will get back to you with any updates on the situation..... Yes Percy, there must be a saboteur in the camp, the old Account tab is playing up again.  And the new one on here has just happened to me again, the page jumping whilst I am typing this reply.  The system is in a filthy state at the moment!

It needs everyone to complain directly to betfair as some of us have already done. Posting on here will not help to solve the problem.

sparrow, these problems are not being solved however much we complain, so what is the point in my complaining?  There should be a few sackings in Betfair Towers.

You have to pressure these people jmdc. Otherwise they can justify their claims that it just affects a few people on the Chrome Browser only.

I asked him that, and he said he would email me back with any progress.  He is also trying to reproduce the errors himself.  I'll keep you posted, but I imagine that the two errors which have been introduced this week will quickly be sorted.

Just got back on here after more problems.

I did send them 2 screenshots earlier this week which clearly showed the wrong heading for the wrong horses.

Probably more ! Working on a submission to the gambling commission right now on the basis of bf inability to correct this. At the very least I hope they can issue a 'notice to improve '.

I will let the forum know of how i've gone about it ( yet to decide...which is the easiest to get a collective action going..facebook, twitter etc ? any advice welcome.)

I have had an update on the matters you raised with me.
Regarding the 'my account' not opening in a new window, this has been fixed. If you clear cache and cookies on your browser this should revert back.
We are aware of the issue on the Forum, as you stated there was quite a large amount of contact on this and i can confirm our tech team are working on the matter.

Again regarding the display issue when navigating from horse race to race,this is being looked into also, I am now in contact with the relevant department and will update you as soon as we have a fix or an estimated time on when we will have a fix.

Please feel free to reply in the near future for any updates on the matter.

Thanks jmdc. It gives me the impression that they do not consider it to be a very important issue. When you consider the amount of time this has been going on and only now they are looking into it.

I think we are all pi**ing in the wind trying to get Betfair to do anything about this. They are fast becoming a nasty firm with a shocking disregard for much of their customer base. Only by getting the regulatory authorities involved (which I am in the process of doing) are we likely to achieve anything.

I'm pretty sure some punters must have lost money backing wrong horses in wrong races because of this.

Been happening consistently wrong for my (Chrome too) races, but I'm so used to it just keep refreshing the pages to correct it.

Not sure if the fact I'm used to it is good though, lol

It does still happen under a certain set of circumstances, but not sufficient to be a major problem.

They should get the guy who fixed the summer/winter time problem on to it. It only took about 4 or 5 years or thereabouts
