Shows the real danger of these sun-effected jumps for sure, sadly
Difficult issue however, as there would be barely any jumps taken if the sun is out and we stopped all possible accidents. What is potentially poor however is if the specific problem was reported (the shadow problem) and the stewards did nothing about it. |

people talk some garbage..the sun was to the horses right and the shadows virtually sideways...the other 6 jumped it perfect..canyon simply took off to early and landed on the hurdle.

More 'shadow' rubbish from Mullins. It seems this is trotted out every time a high profile meeting sees fallers from the stable. What about all the other meetings they have fallers? The vast majority of the falls over the last few seasons are from the horses taking off too early so perhaps they should rectify this on the gallops before blaming the sun which never seems to bother horses from other stables.
