UK Punters would never crack my fitness codes over there.
I really saw enough last night on Sky UK to say that unfortunately UK punters would never crack my fitness percentage codes there.
That is probably why there is very limited parade yard coverages, horses look too unfit and even the commentators get confused.
I was lucky enough when I started back in 1987 to have Colin Hayes, David Hayes and Lee Freedman in their prime and as winners of over 500 Group 1 races and tens of thousands of other races, I cottoned on to their unique fitness skills for the next 30 years.
But in UK many of your runners are off my radar fitness ratings of a low 88% and that is why they come in brown cows over 100 - 200 metres behind them.
Some would be 75% - 80% unfit and that is 25 lengths off peak 100% fitness.
In Australia these unfit horses are earning subsidies for just turning up, but are placed then on satisfactory trials if they race like that and many never get a racing ticket again.
They are weeded out of the industry and take no further part in racing or get a picnic meeting rating.
But back to the story, if a budding young bloke has started on rating horses in a percentage or even fitness levels in UK, they will not get there.
If they thought they had got it right, then come to Australia or Honk Kong and you would be shocked at the fitness levels of horses 97% - 98% - 99% - 100% fit.
I think there are way too many hobby trainers who cannot afford vets so trainers like Aiden Obrien can keep on winning.
They are laughing all the way to the banks.
It also shows that buying nice race horses in UK from Australian syndicators is very smart business and will continue to grow.
Australia trainers are putting on 10 - 15 lengths on these horses and then winning Group 1 races.
That’s life but am sorry about UK racing and the situations for punters.
....no UK punters will not crack youre codes....cause they don,t exist...its all a pile of ****....but you keep shoving it out relentlessly....some will bite...

I suggest we make hay with Jim's fitness ratings now, before RUK and ATR go ultra HD 3D. When that happens anyone will be able to do it and the edge will vanish.

I think that is why UK bookies are the richest in the world.
Yes, black and white or colour, makes no difference to me.
I will still get it right most of the time.

Primitive racing services and centuries old training skills, but great blood lines.
I think UK punters are right behind the 8 ball compared to many other countries.
Any science of fitness just seems to be missing except for an elete few.
Watch racing.com and their broadcasting services or sky.com.au and compare.

U cannot tell me that sky uk and sky australia are not aware of each others different broadcasting styles and services.
No, sky uk is controlled more by the bookies who get richer and they say what u are allwed to see and what u are not allowed to see, that is my opinion.
Why did Betfair take off like a rocket?
Maybe punters are just not happy out there with corporates?
A very smart move by Betfair to seeze and opportunity.

No they weren't they were laying the Simcock runner who on appearance couldn't win if it started last Tuesday.
Jim comes across as mad, don't know him from Adam but the best judge I've ever met in the game makes all his money just by looking at the horses and does little in the way of form.
There is also good reason ATR a channel funded by bookmakers make no effort to show horses in the paddock or on the way down to the start - food for thought perhaps.

i'd honestly be very surprised if the reason ATR dont cover paddocks is cos the bookies have instructed them not to...much more likely reasons imo are-
they dont really have time to do it justice due to ad breaks
more cameras/crew would be required (ie added cost)
good percentage of viewers would consider paddock coverage the equine equivalent of watching paint dry
Bob Cooper would struggle to pinpoint which end was the head
