Best Horse Racing Ratings

Hi Guys, I am looking to use some ratings software or subscribe to a race ratings site but before I do and part with my hard earned was wondering if people had had any experience with ratings and which they could advise.  Mainly looking to do place lays (some win lays) and some bf backs on decent priced horses.
