1) recruit jockeys who are too big so they need to ride below their natural weight
2) ignore the revolution in fitness and nutrition that other sports have enjoyed 3) reassure yourselves with drivel about jockeys being the fittest of all sportsmen 4) ignore psychological problems with nonsense about jockeys being so brave to ride followed by ambulances 5) ignore stable staff completely What could go wrong? Racing has barely moved on since the 1970s. |
