Fancy a horse for tomorrow at Ascot so, if i back it now with WH online would it be classed as antepost, so lose money should it not run or would it be NRNB ? Thanks in advance

Declared runners used to be made the day before the race, hence overnight declarations term formerly used.
Now declarations are made 48 hours before the day of the respective meetings. Any bets made after runners are declared, i.e. 2 days prior to the raceday, are all void if pick is a non runner, with R4 applied on all other bets placed before the time of the withdrawal. Same with BF. If you lay or bet a horse that is running on Tuesday, if it doesn`t run, all bets are void with respective deductions made on all other bets placed before the time of the withdrawal. |

Whether bets are regarded as antepost or not depends on the market you bet into, and its rules? (but BF usually close the AP market shortly before the decs, and open a DOTR market shortly after, so it's rarely an issue). |

Only posted on another thread the other day Back in 1989 I backed Ikdam to win the Triumph Hurdle at 50s,Beech Road to win the Champion Hurdle at 50s and Little Polvier to win the Grand National at 33s All in the space of 3 weeks But didn't do doubles or treble Nothing to write about since the, but cut right back on AP bets in the following years Did back Katchit to win the Triumph, and Champion Hurdle at decent odds about 20 years ago Haven't had an AP bet for years |

I missed that Reg. Top picking that. If you had done the doubles and treble, you and family would be lying on a beach in the Bahamas enjoying the Sun! £10 treble pays 884,340 quid!

But be careful though. A bookie will not refund your stake if you place a bet only hours before final decs eg if final decs is 10am tuesday, and you place your bet at 8am tuesday, you'd lose your money. This happened to me once.
