wazza rattling up a new p&L.  reckon he won 47 pence on it ...

even if it was one person for 25k, which i very much doubt, not exactly gonna wipe you out is it

has this occurred before, falling just before the line ,the only other time i remember was Devon Lock  in 1956
when the horse winning grand nation and collapsing just before the line that is now 60 years ago

be careful when your placing a bet in 2077 when this will happen again.

There was one on the flat about 3 (?) years back jockey hit the ground just on the line. He didnt get the race because one has to be on horse as it crosses the line. Pretty sure it was on a left-handed track.

Toby Balding's Amantiss at Devon & Exeter, Aug. or Sept 1986(?). That was Tony Charlton, and that was controversial, to say the least. Sitting there motionless, about to win the race, literally 10 yards from the line, yet his right leg mysteriously came over the saddle and  there he was on the deck.

Then there was that one about a decade ago which cost Nevison a jackpot.

And a Fahey one, I think, at Ascot possibly, about 3 or 4 years ago.

Happens more often than is comfortable, if you're laying 999/1 about horses in second place.

Cotai Glory 2014 Doncaster George Baker yards from the line - there was another one even nearer the line.

Dickie fell off one with 10 yds to go at Exeter a couple of years ago,right on the line it was,had it backed for a place as well....

Out the Black at Exeter during Halloween in 2006, Dickie said the horse spooked at someone wearing an scary outfit in the crowd.
