Anyone help?
I received this email form befair:

With regret, we have restricted your Betfair account with a delay to Exchange market data (odds and volumes). The restriction is in accordance with our Terms and Conditions; in particular the intellectual property clauses with reference to Betfair data. For further information, view our T&C’s at http://forum.betfair.com/aboutUs/Terms.and.Conditions/#terms-betting-1. The relevant terms are highlighted below.
Your data usage profile represents that of a commercial user. Note that usage of Betfair Exchange market data by any user in a commercial context requires a data licence. Betfair offers a commercial data licensing scheme, details of which can be found at https://developer.betfair.com/get-started/.
Should you wish to consume data for testing and or analysis, please use delayed data as applied to your account or the historical data services -  https://apps.betfair.com/data/.
‘6.     Cancellation, Termination, Suspension and Breach

We may restrict your access to Betfair, suspend or terminate your account, withdraw your offers for bets, void any bets outstanding to your account, cancel any unmatched bets or cancel and void any outstanding or matched bets in our absolute discretion without cause at any time including if:

v: ... your account’s ‘public market data’ usage (‘public market data’ includes market prices, traded Volumes and market depth) could represent ‘business usage’ (‘business usage’ includes any use by a betting operator or any use by an individual or organisation supplying data or services to a betting operator)’
Kind Regards
Betfair Limited | Winslow Road | Hammersmith Embankment | London | W6 9HP.

I have been in touch with customer services and they told me to rasie a ticket on  https://developer.betfair.com/support which does not seem right.

I managed to obtain from them that there is a flag on my account for market delay.
But there is no reason why it should be on and I am unsure how to get the flag switched off.
Has anyone else had this?
At first customer services said it was a mistake and everything should be fine, but nothing changed on my acccount.
Then they pointed me to the link to use.

Anyone managed to get this sorted?

Thanks in advance...

Just got sent an email from BDP:

Please provide the below information for our review:

• For what purpose do you intend to you use your account?
• What sports and markets will you bet into?
• Of the markets you read/view what percentage do you expect to place bets in?
• What is your anticipated number of bets per market?
• What is your anticipated monthly betting volume?
• Do you work for a betting operator or any supplier to a betting operator, or have you in the past? If yes, please provide details.

Not at all, I do my form reading and look at any market clues to help make my selection.

yes that is the intention but I am not happy that betfair are treating long term customers like this.
I cannot even see the projected betfair SP.

Sometime I may log on and not have a bet, what is wrong with that?
It is up to me whether I place a bet or not after looking at the form and the market.

I can't even watch the in running markets.
This is not on betfair, you are a disgrace!
I have paid thousands and thousands in commission since I joined way back in 2003 and this is how customers returning to betfair get treated!

Wealth warning: I know nothing.

It looks like you are using the api, so already you are not a normal user. Assuming you are above board though, and not running a dozen bots, then I'd wonder if you have at some point in the past downloaded gruss or betangel or one of the other api-consuming products to test, forgotten about it, but it is still running in the background.

If not, then it could just be a mistake by Betfair.

dont they have a data charge, and/or a determination about how persistant you are based on value or something like that?

a few years ago i was once trying something out and exceeded the permitted usage level, they said i had racked up a bill for about £400 in a day but they didnt want to charge me this time as i was probably unaware i'd done it, i was a lot more careful after that!

Assuming OP is not trying it on, then check what the (default) settings are on any software you use. For the stated use, I'd have thought price updates one a minute would be enough, not ten times a second, and not across all markets.

Rider, that happened me way back at the start as I had too many windows open using api.
I wasn't aware of it, being new etc so I got off with a caution.

I am not using anything at all. I do not run any software nor any bots.
I log onto betfair and look at the horse racing markets, study the form and make my selections.
There is no untoward activity on my account at all.
I have answered the questions and I am in the middle of trying to get the delay removed from my account.
Thanks for the replies.

All I can add further is for the last few weeks, the betfair markets insteaad of refreshing every second, they have been goimg mad.
Refreshing all over the place. I had a separate thread on here where it was also happening to others.
Now when I look at the markets, even though the prices are delayed, the prices are jumping around 4 or 5 times per second, instead of the usual nice 1 second interval.
So this is not my fault at all.

Are the markets still doing that to others?

I will mention this to betfair.

Didnt BF send emails to everyone recently telling them of a change that prices would be delayed if not signed in?
Some unusual things going on at bf imo, look above on this forum to see other changes made about bet cancelling etc
