What does he have to do get criticised? What is the point of Kevin 'clever dick' Blake? How about just telling it as it is rather than just treating the viewer like an idiot.

If he is the best in the weighing room what does that make the rest of them?

As ever he exists by getting a fantastic book of rides. There is always something just around the corner to get him out of trouble.

Report Jack Bauer '24' September 9, 2017 7:22 PM BST
He's no better than any of the other top riders around the world in terms of talent. He has just had a more privileged career than most, and the idiots in the media all jump on the bandwagon hailing him the best jockey in the world so the average punter believes it's true.
Report granitjack September 9, 2017 7:27 PM BST
Soumillon is different gravy compared to this b*ll end....
Report granitjack September 9, 2017 7:27 PM BST
When does Soumillon make errors? Hardly ever compared to Moore.
Report tillymay September 9, 2017 7:29 PM BST
Without doubt the most pathetic attempt to race ride on 3 short prices top both horses.
But typical balkydoyle fcuking up your average punters enjoyment with a myriad of bullshit
Report jedi sophie September 9, 2017 7:39 PM BST
Soumillon surely wouldnt leave what he has to ride for this bunch of **** but if he did, anyone who doubts he could do a better job than Ryan,(clock in his head, always in the right place, judge of pace,no nonsense, great pair of hands) Morre needs committed! ASAP......
Report impossible123 September 9, 2017 7:42 PM BST
Moore was woeful today. I believe Ballydoyle is too big a stable for just one jockey including Moore. I hope a rethink by Coolmore a necessity; just too many howlers perpetually by Moore,...too tired or a slow learner perhaps?
Report fredlyn September 9, 2017 7:44 PM BST
I think they are more of a gambling stable than people think - but I agree
with all of the above threads - plural
Report geordie1956 September 9, 2017 7:54 PM BST
We hear every day from the TV pundits when Moore wins a race "thats why he is the best in the world" etc - usually after a ride no different to what any other reasonably competent jockey would have offered - the pundits seem to perpetuate this myth of his abilities and yet the evidence to the contrary is irrefutable - he doesn't hold a candle to some of the best from years gone by or even of today

I wouldn't be surprised if his time in Ireland is near its end
Report chavman September 9, 2017 7:57 PM BST
Under orders-impossible for one jockey to find so much trouble in one day
Report kavvie September 9, 2017 8:02 PM BST
they may gamble from time to time but in group 1s with breeding involved? no way..not logical
Report EVILROYSLADE September 9, 2017 8:56 PM BST
I've been saying it for years regarding this overrated rodent. The word Bandwagon was used earlier. Very true when describing how the easily led latched on .
Report granitjack September 9, 2017 9:02 PM BST
He's just not very good. Atzeni and Doyle rode in a different class to him, not just in that race but the whole season, surely Coolmore have to take note?
Report jedi sophie September 9, 2017 9:04 PM BST
Just the 5 1st or 2nd FAVS tomorrow for the ever wonderful Ryan. Just the three odds on,beggars belief!
Ill be taking on most of them again because the arrogant prick will still be up to his nonsense tomorrow!
Unfortunately he will probably have at least 2,3 winners!

In this meeting last year the majority of the winners came up the middle of the track eg Almanzor and Alice Springs, both from last to 1st; Minding and Persuasive (both rails) got bogged down.

Let's see where the jocks come up tomorrow.

Report differentdrum September 9, 2017 11:19 PM BST
Riding a load of favourites again tomorrow. You can imagine the pundit reaction if he rides 2-3 winners.

The Derby showed that just about anyone in the weighing room can ride a Group 1 winner for Ballydoyle.

Plenty of market support in the National Stakes for Beckford but the booking of Smullen looks ominous to me and I suspect Gustav Klimt is probably nailed on.

If he was under pressure he would already have been replaced on Order Of St George. You don't allow someone to mess up on the same horse time and again.

Report punchestown September 10, 2017 11:15 AM BST
Curragh a much more forgiving track and you don't see that many "unlucky" runners,Leopardstown seems to bring out all the worst traits in Moore, over confidence high on the list and bad positioning of his mounts another.

I worry for anybody who comes on here and defends that shambles yesterday.
Report impossible123 September 10, 2017 11:17 AM BST
Moore messed up on OoSG last year...a repeat unlikely even for the perpetual incompetent on Gp 1 races?
Report Willie Shafter. September 10, 2017 11:35 AM BST
i aint defending anyone..but what happened yesterday happens every single day...
Report differentdrum September 10, 2017 11:35 AM BST
Isn't it the general idea to try and get out of a traffic jam or better still not be in one in the first place?

Typical Sunday Forum whitewash. Peter Thomas making giant strides up the list of muppets in racing. Appears to think there is a explanation for everything in racing as long as it doesn't involve criticising anyone.

Wonderful news for everyone who wanted to oppose him that Gustav Klimt is out. Also reducing the race to 7 runners and putting Smullen on a short priced favourite. Happy days for bookmakers again.

OMG......... i assume a lot of uses lost a few penny's yesterday, just because Ryan mount is fav and its a Coolmore horse doesn't give it some god winning right to win the race. The ride on Churchill has a lot to do with where he was drawing, plus he was in the best position for saving ground, then the horse got bumped all over the place and he had no way out, it happens every day just because it was a group 1 doesn't change the fact he cant get out. SJL, i get it he should of won but once again he got cut off every time he tried to get out, and thats race riding he does it to other people, as for the 2 yr old in the group 3 , the colt was clueless to what was going on and he minded him.
Report 1st time poster September 11, 2017 10:21 AM BST
so in a nutshell your saying moores goes out to ride without a plan, there was no where to go for Churchill all the way down the straight there was pace on ,he was 3rd into the straight should have been 2,3 horses of the fence not boxed in behind his supposed  main danger, same on winter only got through because his stable mates and fellow jocks moved aside,SJL form at 12 furlongs should have been trying to run the finish out of a 5,6,7 furlong horse like sudieos not sat 8 lgth behind him

Report 1st time poster September 11, 2017 4:32 PM BST
to be fair to moore its not a good setup for him,the trainer, other jocks, the boys etc spend 6 days discussing races, riding plans etc and moore lands at the course thinking he,s on the stables most wanted, when although the results might surprise him and us might not be a surprise to those working there 7 days a week
