Correct brendrew and even in the race that is the subject of this thread, he might well have come from off the pace but at the 1f pole he was well in contention, about a neck behind the then second placed horse and around half a length behind the then leader and eventual winner.
Tart got by the other horse that ended up third but the winner was just too good and pulled clear of them both. That same winner ran in a Group race in France next time and had won again the time after that when racing back at home. |
