i have seen plenty of decent bookmakers over the years who say you won't win betting a 1t4 odds in today's on course market over the year
|

I THINK YOU MIGHT BE GETTING BOOKMAKERS MIXED UP WITH COMMISSION AGENTS!

Who did Matt point out Facts?
|
|
By:
Surely that would depend on how many runners were in the race.
If there are 16 then you are on a hiding to nothing but one always drops out. If there are over 20 then you are a fool if you cannot make money and once you get a few more you are in clover. |

WELL DONE PJ,COME RACING! |

By:
the BHB is to blame for this mess ..all other top price money countries do NOT allow bookmakers / leaches........ over here its based on what the punter loses...should be turn over

After spending the last two days betting in the course enclosure at York, I'd say it is a punters paradise. Many books betting to next to nothing. I decided to join them today to see how busy it would be betting to less than 1%. I took 26 bets and £129.50 on the first race, and laid £105 in bets on the machine, that's laid, not backed. I'd might as well sayed at home and saved the expenses. What do punters want?
|
|
By:
standard e/w terms are mathematically wrong, as I punter I would happily see them rectified, just as long as bookies don't take the p155 in the big handicaps and properly lay to a fair book
|

By:
from what i remember flaming spear was never bigger than 2/1 in the place market on here.....just saying

Grown a pair and have an opinion fella... Plenty can make it pay. Lay the horses that you cannot fancy and if you cannot do that go back to stacking shelves.. |
|
By:
Homefortea. That's exactly what I'm saying. Betting to nothing on the course is the quick way to the poor house. You might as well stay at home and bet to your opinion on the machine and save on the expenses. You should try working as an oncourse bookmaker, I'm sure you'd enjoy it, and I expect that you'd be one of "the plenty" that make it pay.

I have made it pay in the past online.
My point is that if you want to make it pay on course then offer an opinion.. Do not follow the rest of the sheep.. But hey I have retired so good luck.. I was yesterdays man and I was the best. |
