Some coincidence alright.
Kind of horse that is probably harshly enough handicapped. I like his attitude (when he is at his level) and would be interested in him when he is back in the low 90s. Early 2yo and he has been just go go go his whole career. The kind of horse who would win a Premier Handicap at the Curragh or somewhere next year if they gave him 4 or 5 easies. Wouldn't be surprised if he was sold over here now, actually. |

Remember that day when the draw was the same as the racecard number (or possibly its inverse) in every race?

Sutter County does look over-burdened but I wonder if he is also over-raced. He is running once or twice a month but it looks from his record that he might be best fresh. Maybe if he runs often enough his mark might fall.

seems SC has never been a NR either, so not that he's been pulled out when drawn higher at all

Furthermore, since 2003 (UK races only) Mark Johnston has had the highest number of horses drawn in stalls 1 - 4 inclusive.

surely that's completely pointless without looking at it by percentage of total runners and field sizes horses are entered in.

I'd be quite confident that MJ would have more runners, significantly more than most high profile trainers, of horses that are running in fields of 6 or less runners as a percentage to their total runners.
4 of SC's last 11 runs have been in races with 5 or less runners. |

He's probably also had more runners than any other trainer NOT drawn in stall 4 :)

after an unexplainable blip when drawn 14 last time, Sutter nearly lands £50K pot from the more familiar no 1 stall at CC tonight
