Gutsy little rider, way ahead of Hayley on ability but didn't get the chances or luck. Wish her well!

It will be a long time if ever before another female becomes Irish champion apprentice.

Ana O brien would have been champion this year but for the fall.
& will be next year if she returns

Cathy was a vert good rider & as a previous poster said better than Hayley Turner.

Met her one year on the way from the railway station to Hamilton races, the Sunday after the Ayr Gold Cup. Had been a piece in the RP that day about David Evans and her being sick on the gallops or something.
She walked there with me and another lad, and sorted us out owners and trainers passes.Then rode a close second 33/1 shot in the last race.
Always looked out for her progress and results after that and was sorry that her career has come to an early finish.
