I can't find anything about why and they no doubt won't bother to tell us these days. Belmont and Aqueduct are also owned by NY State,if they have gone I think I might as well. It's impossible to follow every region in the States in anything like an informed manner.

what difference does it make as no liquidity on bf anyhow . The tote or bookies unless you are a layer . Never successful there for me with that approach.

It's rather silly that ATR poor so much energy and resource into coverage of Gulstream,Santa Anita,Saratoga ,etc but as Betfair don't cover them,it's surely a complete waste of time.Something very wrong at the head of Betfair.

I am a layer. Bookies no good to me. I've wondered about the increasing difference between Betfair and ATR courses. At one time I think they were much the same, but personally I use LV at least until they go on to the American feed later at night but even that is now often covering the wrong races.

Will miss the New York racing...some excellent races going to go by the wayside..G1 tonight too.
hopefully they can sort out their licensing issue. I wonder what their long term goal is because sacrificing the revenue from the New York meetings will cost them.
should be a stroll in the park for Arrogate...not giving way much weight. nice tee up for the Pacific Classic. Knowing Del Mar they might get a cam on him for you tube later.

Might be the ownership. The big courses are all owned by NY State. Finger Lakes which they still have at the moment is administered by the NYRA but has a different owner.

Very unlikely Belmont & Aqueduct are lost.Throughout the issues over many years, both these New York tracks have been covered by the Racing Channel and now ATR.

There was a huge shock in America overnight when Arrogate could finish only finish fourth behind Accelerate in the San Diego Handicap at Del Mar.
Bob Baffert's Juddmonte Farms-owned grey was sent off the 1-20 favourite despite racing over a trip short of his best and conceding weight to all of his rivals in the Grade Two.
In what was supposed to be nothing more than a prep for the Pacific Classic next month, the Dubai World Cup winner never looked comfortable.
Jockey Mike Smith tried everything to to spark some magic out of Arrogate, who won in Dubai in such spectacular fashion, but none was forthcoming.
Accelerate made all the running to win for trainer John Sadler and Victor Espinoza.
"I think he was just flat," Baffert told www.bloodhorse.com.
"I knew coming down here can be tough. Maybe I should have (worked) him (down here). "Mike said he was just flat and never in the race did he feel he had any horse. I think he just laid an egg."
Smith was also struggling to come to terns with what had happened.
"I'm at a loss for words," said Smith.
"He was just flat - so flat. We were going around there OK, and then I took him outside like I did in the World Cup, but he just didn't pick it up.
"So I dropped him inside again and cut the corner, then wheeled him outside once more, and tried to get something from him. But he was just flat. He wasn't trying. So I just wrapped up on him and got him home safe.
"We've got to go back and start over again. Get it back right."
