For those of you who organise group events or just want best value then its worth highlighting that there is a major change this year to how Cheltenham are phasing in the Festival ticket prices increases - basically discount for early purchase.

Normally the cheapest prices have been available until about October but this year first cut off is July 5th - basically a Gold Cup Day Tatts ticket that will be 80 quid on day is 55 quid up til 5 July.  Full details here : http://cheltenham.thejockeyclub.co.uk/events-tickets/2017-2018-racing-dates/the-festival-2018-pricing-structure. The PR people call this a 'slight change' ..... no doubt one that has been fully costed in the 2018 business plan as the Cheltenham board rub their hands counting the extra cash ......!!!!

Don't shoot the messenger lads ..... in my view yet another example of our sport being taken over by the corporate-ness that seems to pervade most big business these days ..... but anyway this info might save some of you Festival regulars a few quid.

Take care

i think this year is up  another £5 per day too.

3 months earlier this year to get the lowest prices. Bit of a scam really.

Is the course really struggling for cash flow that much?
