But I've been told many times on here that the jockey makes no difference to a horse's performance.

hannon's should snap him up as stable jockey, hard for the one's who have been there a few years but no sentiment in business

I said "I very much doubt" based on the logic that it's unlikely that anyone would be daft enough to say that jockeys make no difference to a horse's performance. What is far more likely is that someone will say ABC regarding the importance of jockeys and that then gets heard as XYZ by some......Maybe even including yourself perhaps?

I know this only too well myself when saying that there's very little in it ability wise between the top jockeys, only to be told later by the likes of comedygold that I have said jockeys don't matter.

In my opinion that was the case with SDS in the 3.40 Ripon today Kenbo.

I totally agree. He won on a ride most others would've lost on.

I don't actually live online steviebees and so oddly enough that might explain why there was a time gap between my post and yours, just as there is with this one too and between your follow up ones from earlier and mine. You're not the only one who can luckily sign in and see retorts.

As I am saying for the third time now, I said ""I very much doubt" and didn't state anything as fact, although I still very much doubt anyway considering that must be some memory you have to remember word for word what someone has said, as opposed to the general gist of it.

Again like I've already said before, I have far too much personal experience of others telling me the gist of what I have said rather than what I actually have, to know that's it's not beyond the realms of possibility regarding that kind of thing. The difference being I'm merely making a possible suggestion with what I'm saying, whereas you are stating it as fact but with nothing to prove as much.

Your thrice written ''I very much doubt'' implies I can not understand plain English. As Queen Gertrude is quoted in Shakespeare's Hamlet ''The lady doth protest too much, methinks'' seems quite apt to me in this instance.

An outstanding reply. You prove the point that I am protesting too much by quoting 3 posts from this discussion, 2 of which actually belong to you. To be honest I am now in a situation where I am lost for words. Your ability to construct an adequate argument is not what you seem to think it is. As I said earlier it is obvious you have quite a high opinion of yourself and you feel others have not the mental capacity to understand the ''gist'' of what you are saying.

I knew I'd have to revisit this thread as you are like a spoilt child sent to their room and whispering what they consider a game stopping put down to their parents through their incessant sobs. As I've said I know nothing about you but you must have in the past undermined the role of the jockey in the running of a race.
