I like the guy a lot but it was embarrassing watching him chatting to the Chester Ladies Today.....His choice of words were truly dreadful. Plain

His, disgraceful, 'Litter Lout' display was in full flow again this afternoon.

Saying - "You don't want that" - whilst throwing away bookies reps Ante-Post price slips, so that he can build up to a crescendo for the best price.

DRAMA QUEEN in action - making a big deal about nothing - especially as those prices will probably be pretty well fictitious to many punters.

He just has to make his smutty innuendoes about everyone, which has cost him before.
Amazed nobody picks up on it,but it is only a matter of time before Ed And Francesca realise he is not a character but a bleeding liability.

Chapman offers something different,a comment that has been said is lacking on racing TV since Big Mac left. Many may not like him but let's not go bland again.

I haven't watched ITV yet but give me a shout when Chapman picks up on a highly contentious ride and gives it what for and I'll quickly switch over to listen to him

A ' shouty man' - one of those presenters who thinks it's all about him, rather than the product he's supposed to be promoting. Dreadful.

"... it was embarrassing watching him chatting to the Chester Ladies Today.....His choice of words were truly dreadful."

agree with that, it was a cringe moment for sure, uncomfortable rather than funny.

Chapman is ok, enthusiastic, but maybe just needs to calm down a little bit. Has a different style like Big Mac, which is good, but maybe needs restraining at times. Also there is enough of a litter problem on racecourses without Chapman adding to it and throwing bits of paper around like he does with the prices, "You don't want that....and you don't want that....you don't want that !"

"Many may not like him but let's not go bland again"
Exactly, and I do like Chapman and we don't want bland or boring. CoolShockedAngryWhoops

All the presenters and commentators are poor. Chapman is trying to get noticed by being a moron. Oh for the days of Julian Wilson and Sir Peter. Totally different class.

Chamberlain is starting to annoy with his constant interrupting...

Like with Johnny yesterday

What do you mean that and Just explain that ALL the time...just let the lad speak ffs

My fav is the - you mean (goes on to summarise) and then says - just explain that for the people at home

Ffs will...you just did..don't need weaver to approve what you said.

EC is desperate for someone to agree with his subjective comments.....the programme should be fronted by Weaver and Cumani

" Oh for the days of Julian Wilson and Sir Peter."

The ITV coverage I think appeals more to a wider audience, and the old BBC coverage was so different, and could you imagine Julian with McCririck or Chapman.

Matt Chapman is easily the best thing on ITV Racing, brings a bit of life and spontaneity to it. Overall I find it far better than C4 which was dull and lacked any life.

But it's a Horse Racing presentation programme -

- not an edition of a Saturday night talent(less) show.

Well anyone who is watching solely for that has Racing UK. ITV needs to throw in a bit of entertainment and humour. He's a big asset for the racing media.

He is just embarrassing. He isn't selling racing, he is continually trying to sell himself. There is a huge difference between entertaining and embarrassing. To be fair it is quite an achievement for him to keep getting worse.

Amazed how many people are fooled by him. It is just a hideous act.

woody, sorry i fall outside of your boundarys, i dont have ruk but i must say regards chapman , what audience is he playing to.

hes running along a stream of bewildered on course books ... and the only reason he isnt getting any to entertain him as they have more

important things on their minds like laying back on b/f....  must be like finding money in the street.

Can't stand the bloke although it was amusing to see Rishi's reaction when he reminded him of the horse that Rishi once said something along the lines of 'this horse won't win' and you can guess the rest.
