gap came but still he didn't push.

By:
That's one of the worst rides I've seen in years..

very poor- did he think there was another furlong to go????
By:
gap did appear, looked like he still wanted to take a tow in behind
By:
There was room up the rail from about 4 out and he never bothered
By:
Doubt he would have got there when the gap came, but even when it did come he stayed motionless
By:
Sure his plan started this morning, blatant cheeting

That oath does not deserve to be riding. Feel sorry for those who backed it. Disgusting ride.

Ive seen some shocking rides over the years, but that I think is the worst. Only way that horse could lose is by doing exactly what he did.
By:
yeah, that was criminal alright ...
By:
Darryl trying to defend the ride saying he had nowhere to go!. Seat on the gravy train secured for a while longer..
By:
disagree with wagger. if he goes when the gap appeared he wins.
By:
Deserves a ban! A very long one. Will he get one . No! The game does not deserve that.

I was on hulk. Would have been very close.

Varian is as straight as they come ....Would imagine he'll think twice about booking Noble in the future.

Cameron Noble, the rider of COMPAS SCOOBIE, unplaced, reported that the gelding was denied a clear run.

the gap is there just inside the furlong pole. at that point he seems happy to track gold club on his left. it is not until they are well inside the half furlong marker that he 'goes for it'. that seems to be the way it's ridden, but that ride was badly judged.

Agree with you Hulk but at Wolves the same jockey got after the horse with 2 furlongs to go and won comfortably. Here he waited til 50 yards out when like you say the gap was there just after the furlong marker. If he had moved 100 yards earlier would have won by 2 lengths the speed he was travelling at the end and still under hand riding
There was a gap on the inside but that closed just before, but could have switched round the outside much earlier and still hosed up. Not as if it was a 20 runner field. Probably like you say just a very badly judged attempt more than something underhand. I made this one of the better bets of the day and backed it accordingly so i'm peeved but that is racing as we know it. |
