be interesting to see how clegg, milliband and soubry get on-all massivly staunch and vocal remainers, setting up anti brexit committees-yet their constituencies voted for brexit Confused.

surely youre supposed to represent the views of your constituents in parliament Confused

I like Corbyn, I agree with many of his idealistic principles.  I'm not too fussed on a monarchy, I don't believe any country should have nuclear weapons.

However, I'm as stoopid as that silly old bugger is.

There is no way the UK masses will vote for a pro CND, anti-monarchy, rag and bone man.  Those two factors alone plus his un-statesmanlike demeanour will mean wipeout. The media are going to rip him to shreds.

I might vote for him on the day, just so he gets a vote, I wouldn't want the well intentioned fellow to feel unloved.

Chav you are right. In principle they should respect the wishes of their constituents.
They didn't so let's hope they are shown the door.

We live in a parliamentary democracy not a bloody Co-Op.
If you don't like your MP's view then don't vote for them.
Report driver2 April 18, 2017 12:39 PM BST
May has been very clever, she knows full well that Conservative opposition at the moment is a shambles and that there can only be one winner of an early GE and I'm very happy about that!

It's your post that is idiotic, chavman. An Mp is not expected to blindly follow a constituency vote.

The fact that Farron , Corbyn and Sturgeon think they have a chance of getting their way show you how far out of touch they are with reality

Another drubbing at the polls on the cards for Labour.
Report chavman April 18, 2017 1:12 PM BST
maybe i should have added to that sentence-if you want to give yourself any decent chance of getting re elected

Yeh, just like the Polls said we were big odds on to Remain.
This isn't an Election called for the good of the country.
Like Camerons call for a EU Referendum , it's all about ego and the Tory Party.
Report chavman April 18, 2017 1:20 PM BST
the more objective minded might say its about increasing parliamentary majority

Amazing coincidence crepello, your namesake won the Derby in June 1957 and almost to the day, 60 years later you're going to come well unstuck!

At least we're one election nearer to Steptoe and his cronies being sidelined.  So long as he takes his jonny-come-lately Momentum Group slime with him, so much the better.  Judging from the 1980s, it will take 3 election drubbings to get the hard left out of the Labour party so I shan't hold my breath.

Think Corbyn is a genuine guy, with true beliefs, however I would not trust him to run my household economy, let alone the Country.
Report differentdrum April 18, 2017 2:03 PM BST
This is all about gaining the biggest majority in history, nothing else.

I've voted Labour all my adult life, but, won't be voting for them in this election. The parties been taken over by the lunatics from the asylum. They have no chance of winning a General Election. Corbyn and McConnell will disappear, sadly they'll be replaced by others who couldn't run a corner shop never mind the country.

I've voted Labour all my life because of where I come from, I've witnessed the devastation the Tories brought on my local communities.
Report BigField April 18, 2017 2:19 PM BST
holywell you've no need to justify your vote, I voted conservative last time but would never begrudge someone for voting labour should it suit them better.
