i never felt that the public really warmed to him or that he got the recognition that he deserved, especially considering that he won a high-class renewal of the Cheltenham Gold Cup and gave Kauto a scare at haydock

RIP. Must've been some horse to win despite Brennan.
In other news, thanks partly to this thread, I've learned that Dancing Brave's sire, Lyphard, lived to the ripe old age of 252!

Horse age to human is; 6.5 years for first 3 years then 2.5 years from age 4. If my maths are right Imperial Commander was 52 Will always remember IC as I layed it for gold cup thinking it can't beat both Kauto and Denman Great horse RIP.

My brothers favourite horse, he was adamant during its career that he was top class. He was right when he won the Gold Cup and i saw the delight. I bought him a massive print of IC for an xmas present, never seen him smile so much.
I dont have the balls to send him an RIP of his fav horse.
The picture is on his wall next to his wedding photo.
