OK Old Birchonians - it's time to take this to the next level , in short it's time to put up or shut up.

For the month of April , so starting tomorrow - whatever our Lord and Saviour puts up ie. 2 bets , 3 bets , 4 bets etc. in the RP on a Monday and Tuesday - we have to match it - so if he puts the normal 3 bets up - we each have to put 3 bets up - they don't have to be in the same races as His Lordship - they can be anywhere on that day's UK card.

We'll have a mythical £10 Win or £5 EW on each beast and let's see if we can beat the Noble Lord on profitability.

Would someone be kind enough to put Lord Birchy's selections onto the thread please when known.

We'll keep a tally and a table on the thread.

Lord Birchers - I hope you take this in the spirit it's intended.

Mr. Millington - a month's trial as a Tipster in the RP to the winner???

Acolytes - I'm not going to be around tomorrow before racing , so in the hope that our hero hasn't selected any of the following and assuming he's going to put his usual three up - here are mine :

2.20 Hunt. - Royal Debutante
4.00 Ludlow - Hestina
4.30 Ludlow - Miss Night Owl

May the least worst man win.

Emergency Jockey Club meeting called for this evening to review the 'Birchy penalty'  - currently 19lb - an upward rise almost inevitable.

LaughLaughLaugh Utterly staggering. Both pulled up as if drunk, 1 with nearly a lap to go!!
How can ANYBODY be so consistently bad? It's never ending.
Shouldn't complain. He's making me a fortune. No need to go to work Monday or Tuesday when you can just lay this idiot's "tips".
Hey Birchy, give us your address. I want to send you on a bottle of fizz. I shouldn't be getting this info for free...

Trainers Federation are up in arms about the Jockey Club's refusal to adopt the 'Birchy Clause' , whereby they would be allowed to withdraw their steed's right up to the 'Off'- without a Vet's Certificate and without financial penalty  - should the great man bestow his tip upon their nag.

There comes a time in ones life when you have to admit defeat. Birchy is so rotten, he should never have started.
35 years "experience" he claims Laugh And has learnt diddly squat.
I wouldn't be allowed work in a bar if I couldn't pull a pint...

apparently the trainers federation agreed not to go on strike if birchy reduced his monday selections to two horses.

i've just got in and missed all the fun. superb from the master today Laugh

ekkers i dont have time to watch the racing every day so form study isnt really happening. hence i wont take part in the challenge. besides which, since discovering the 'birch system' i no longer need to even try Grin

i might add for anyone who didnt see the post today that at the end of his piece is the following message - Racing Post backs responsible gambling. the phone numbers of national gambling helplines are given for both the uk and ireland. the uk number starts 0808, i hope that is a freephone number as i fear anyone following his tips wont have the money to pay for a phone call. i thought that was a nice touch from bruce and shows he cares. either that or he is taking the p1ss.
