Having struggled terribly with the Beta RPost site , I used the bloodstock site to get to the old site . Now they have switched that to Beta too.
Not only is really important statistics (owner /course/jockey related) etc missing in big blocks but also it takes 3 times longer to find anything because you have to use their filter.
It would be fine if they gave us control of the data with a much bigger filter but actually it gives us less. Interestingly I note they also don't give daily race by race pointers anymore . Probably because they also cant get the data themselves. Or is it more sinister than that ? The bookies who rule the Post through advertising want to weaken our ability to unearth winners.?
I've emailed the Post and had replies only to find they ,themselves , werent aware of many of my points.
What the hell are they doing launching a site even their own developer staff arent on top of. Simple..they are not into racing and odont understand what their customers want
I have cancelled my subscription and I hope thousands more do. Whats the verdict ?

Yes, the search function is pretty useless. I tried looking up 'Un Guet Apens.' It failed to find it, instead throwing up 2270 spurious 'matches'... Customer services told me they have updated their search engine in the last 48 hours, but they patently haven't fixed the problem. I have also complained that you can no longer read a race analysis on the same page as a race result. You have to keep switching from one to another. I am sure I have yet to discover many more 'improvements'. |

Sportinglife site is now complete useless for studying horse racing or for anything football related come to that, the racing post site is only marginally better but hopeless nonetheless. These clowns must be trying to drive punters out of the game.

It's bad enough using the computer (and Ipad) but the phone was probably part of the reasoning to change.
Not a phone user myself so anyone using the phone who can give some idea. |
