Well
So i get it the Irish are tanking and no one has UK v Ireland results ![]() |
By:
A lot of trainers would like to swap places in earnings and horses with him
By:
If you were a big owner and looked at the way he treated Clive Smith, would you have a horse with him?
By:
he doesnt have the ammo yet 2nd in trainers championship.
what did he do to clive smith other than train a horse to win top class after top class race. unless you know anything different? |
By:
Priorities. He's pulled a MUCH younger bird. He's happy !!
By:
So will he be back with a decent crop of Horses in a year or two ?
By:
all his horses have terrible names as well.
think he'll be gone in five years at this rate. |

Took the hump over Kauto Star must have thought he owned it |

IN five years his bird will be replaced by a younger model (NAP)

doesnt get a sniff of the top class horses to purchase nowdays, and doesnt seem to be able lay em out for the hcaps or it could just be inferior carrotts??
By:
didnt he use to be a top trainer once?
By:
His bird probably getting ridden with his stable lads
Just to feed the Horses Paul |
By:
think a lot of owners were put off by the whole clive smith thing.
also smith and older owners either grew too old or lost interest and didn't replace them. like big bucks owner, findlay, also even paul barber doesn't seem to have horses anymore. |

The bid he's got is nowt special is she for the cash he got

If you have no socks you can't pull them up

But if you have rags you can fix them up

If he's depending on Tom Malone to get him out of the mess he's in, then he is in for a rude awakening.

Any time he has ever appeared on a Cheltenham preview is hilarious.....he gets the hump/smart remarks with anyone having anything approaching a different opinion.

Paul Nicholls had a falling out with Clive Smith at one of his open days in front of all his owners. They fell out about Kauto Star as Nicholls pleaded with Clive not to retire him as Nicholls still thought Kauto could do another season.
This seriously damaged Paul's image as there was potential investor/owners who sided with Clive, hence why Mr Nicholls doesn't have the fire power of Elliot, Mullins and Henderson. |

By:
Not seen much of him
Except his binoculars and his bird Was he married before and cheat or just a stud |
By:
his horses only like saturdays

Great trainer of chasers. I heard him interviewed earlier today and he seemed very relaxed despite the no Cheltenham wins this week. I hope he gets on the score sheet tomorrow.
By:
Nicholls/Walsh both looked calm sat next to each other, not exchanging much chat and even Mullins and O'Leary looked on good terms this week.

You could list loads of trainers who have not had winners this festival, clearly PN is high profile but he will have winner tomorrow.
Hobbs is finnish too. |
By:
Le Prezien in the last tomorrow is the one (I hope!)
By:
Think last years Fred winter winner in the county has a good chance
By:
Look at the form of Le Prezien, runner up behind, Yorkhill, Top Notch. Baron Alco and Charbel....easy form pick for me as they have all run really well this week.

For me tomorrow is when i will be backing some PN horses for the first time at this festival (well properly), combos and all that.
Lac Fortana has been on my shortlist for 2 years. DDC has gone a little to up for the win RQ, still has a good chance. |

2 years ago Henderson was gone. His young stock are now starting or have developed and he is leading English trainer.
Who is to say what will happen in 2 years time |
By:
Nicholls is a very good trainer and a few of his ideas have been nicked by other trainers Im0.
Maybe his problem is keeping the big ego owners happy or maybe you need a big backer these days. |
By:
Did Nicholls ever have the really big owners? He had some owners like Clive Smith or Paul Barber who owned a one or two good horses at a time but no-one with pockets as deep as (say) Wylie or Ricci who can outbid him for anything halfway decent in France, or JP who can buy anything with a leg at each corner.

By:
JP, Wylie, Hales, Broughton, Potensis, Stewart, Roach, Highclere - no excuses im0 Ram

highclere ??
When have they ever been a big owner, never owned many horses with nicholls. |
