Donald's runners in fine form to the chagrin of his vociferous detractors on here. The Rooney exodus would have crippled many trainers but Donald's survived the crisis and good luck to him. He seems a decent enough chap having survived a few slings and arrows, some aimed by erstwhile friends!
Wonder if he gives Mr 'Lookaftermyself' Jason Maguire and Donald still socialise - anyone know?

Yeah, terrible won a Grand National and five grade ones and was leading trainer numerically a few seasons ago. Get a grip.

A fine trainer who had a shocking time the last 2 years.

Donald McCain is on his way back. Great guy who I would send my horses to if I had any!

Top bloke, excellent trainer. Had a couple of poor seasons and been written off by many. Great effort to get the 11yo Desert Cry back to his best this year after his own spell in the wilderness, placing him to hack up off a mark of 140.
Still nice for Jason Maguire to be able to encourage the Rooneys to send all his old mates in the weighing room horses even if some of them have never been any good at the training game.
