Lives in the ATR studios, he has no real home.

Very noticeable(to me anyhow) that like his namesake on RUK he actually looks ill. I've no doubt that both just can't say no to a shift and their health is paying a price.

Assuming he's not teleporting to the studio/races everyday he's obviously not getting enough sleep.

I'm going to have to declare myself someone who doesn't mind Fitzy, yes he wouldn't get stuck into a bad ride but none of the others do either and any other criticism you could level at him apply to all the rest of them too. I read his book many years ago and thought it was a good read so may be biased, there are a few that make my toes curl when they appear on screen but I don't get that sensation when dear old Mick appears!!Grin

He can put himself in the mind of a horse who has lost an eye. He knows what they are thinking aqnd they don't mind a bit because they can see through the other one  LaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaugh
