Race 4 - 3:30pm
THE winner.co.uk BET & WATCH HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 4)

The Stewards held an enquiry to ascertain the reason why the Advanced Flag Operator (AFO) momentarily raised the yellow ‘recall’ flag shortly after the start. Having heard evidence from the Starters, the AFO and the riders: Lewis Edmunds, Sophie Scardifield, Josephine Gordon, David Probert, Stevie Donohoe, Tony Hamilton and Robert Winston, the Stewards found that the AFO had mistakenly raised her ‘recall’ flag. In light of the ‘recall’ flag being raised, and all the runners completing the course, the Stewards declared the race void. The Stewards further enquired into the reasons why the riders failed to pull up as required. Having heard their evidence, and in light of the AFO not following the correct recall procedures, the Stewards found the riders not in breach and forwarded a report to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.
