The bookmaking industry are actively disenfranchising people from being able to bet, for no other reason than that they might win, misrepresenting the way they do business at every turn, with total impunity, and an organisation whose mission statement is to ensure gambling is 'fair' is focussing its attention on a fat bloke eating a meat pie.

If they handed offered a price acting the Big I Am then he would still have probably had a nibble because some smart arse in Greggs had the foresight to chuck him a couple of grand to ensure whatever pastry he ate that it was wrapped in a Greggs bag. hardened experienced punters accept the non triers rides as a hazard but think we know when to second guess connections and get it back with interest another day, I think we should get HK stewards in charge, after a few weeks of a less lenient, less inebriated stewarding maybe jockeys and trainers might get sick of bans and fines. Rather brutally I'd ban perceived non jiggers ( connections for 3-6 months but more importantly not all ow the horse to run for a year. Owners will try a bit more if they know such draconian punishment is seriously in the offing.
