STD might be blamed for Nicholls having no top notch horses. Some of his rides on favourites seem to lack confidence.
He might be happier and potentially more successful if he does go back to his old man whilst also riding for Dr Newland.

No, even if there was justification, he isn't going to do anything to make himself look foolish. If he doesn't win the trainer's championship and has a lack of quality then he might think again.

I actually quite like STD but I don't think he is improving.
Saying he is young is like saying Eddie Howe should be manager of Man United. When you are at the biggest stable you need to be at the top of your game. |

Nicholls would have to go to Ireland to get better. Surprised he hasn't because some of the pilots there are head and shoulders above STD. (IMO)
