O'Regan switched from motionless & gently trying to slow it down into theatrical flailing of arms/whip in the shadow of the post when he knew it was all over.  Will no doubt fool the stewards anyway!

Maybe one of the reaosns very few commented on it was because they had given up trying to watching Navan because it was clashing wth Haydock all afternoon.
Just had a watch of it now and it was frankly laughable. Even in a sport where non triers are routinely ignored by officials on both sides of the Irish sea, that was pretty special.

Blackwater Bridge was waited with in exaggerated fashion, was detached in last place turning in with his rider still sitting calmly, and although he did make fairly sustained ground in the straight to be a never-dangerous third on the line, it was under a ride which could not be described as overly vigorous. There is certainly a day in this horse.
