Report koikeeper January 8, 2017 1:25 PM GMT
Something amiss with it before it fell.
Report equine flew January 8, 2017 1:25 PM GMT
Yes Ruby is riding it back
Report Ibrahima Sonko January 8, 2017 1:25 PM GMT
crashing fall.
Report gutfeeling January 8, 2017 1:26 PM GMT
Horse pecked on landing at the 5th and went lame shortly afterwards, Should've pulled it up but kept going and put it on it's head, Pr@ck.
Report Latalomne January 8, 2017 1:26 PM GMT
What Koi and Gutfeeling said.
Report gutfeeling January 8, 2017 1:26 PM GMT
At least Koi could see it, Faith in the forum restored.
Report Bigwillystyle January 8, 2017 1:27 PM GMT
You could see he was injured after losing his backend the first fence down the back. Should have pulled it up long before it fell.
Report Darlodog January 8, 2017 1:27 PM GMT
Doesn't look lame cantering back.
Report big aitch January 8, 2017 1:28 PM GMT
he is an idiot if he rode that back.as Koi said there was something wrong before the fall, it looked like he was going to pull it up and changed his mind, greedy little swine that he is.
Report GODSEND January 8, 2017 1:28 PM GMT
didn't even watch but just saw him go from 1.5 to a 1000 lmao
Report hulk23 January 8, 2017 1:32 PM GMT
went to about 50's when the layers weren't 100% sure.  went to 1000 when it hit the deck, they were sure then.

Rupert Walsh doesn't like walking
Report differentdrum January 8, 2017 1:50 PM GMT
First of all why do jocks allow Walsh the rail and no pace? It happens all the time. Secondly, when the horse lost his position either he pulls it up (if there is something wrong) or rides the head off it to try and stay in touch. It isn't acceptable to just sit there like you are out om an afternoon jolly. The same sort of thing happened with Battleford and then Invitation Only. Basically, he is not making anything like sufficient effort, in fact he is making virtually no visible effort at all. Very, very fortunate that the Stewards are constantly turning a blind eye. Had the Stewards caught up with the Battleford ride he would currently still be on 'holiday'.

Indeed what was the 3 slaps about.
Report Vubiant January 8, 2017 2:00 PM GMT
So what ? Is there a set quota ?
Horse did not come up -nothing the jockey can do in that case.
Report slip5 January 8, 2017 2:00 PM GMT
best way to get your horse unstable his to bloody whip it on the shoulder
Report aberdonia January 8, 2017 2:00 PM GMT
i would have thought the bookmakers were not happy when the horse fell tbf.
Report Ibrahima Sonko January 8, 2017 2:00 PM GMT
Cant blame ruby for asking for a big one in a grade 1, horse didnt pick its legs up.
Report koikeeper January 8, 2017 2:01 PM GMT
Slip, you need to find another sport suggesting he jumped off..
Report penny1939 January 8, 2017 2:01 PM GMT
I defend, I rarely speak up for Walsh, but if you think he was at fault on A.Kate this sport is not for you. He gave her a peach of a ride.
Report macrocky January 8, 2017 2:02 PM GMT
He wouldn't have won anyway. That was very impressive by death duty coming up the hill

spot on, if he didnt ask it it was beat
Report aberdonia January 8, 2017 2:03 PM GMT
He did give the mare a fine ride.

For some reason the horse decided not to jump the final hurdle.
Report gutfeeling January 8, 2017 2:06 PM GMT
It didn't jump the last imo as horse & jockey weren't on the same page as he'd slapped it asking it to quicken so it met the last on the wrong stride when if he hadn't been whipping & getting the horse into the correct stride it would've jumped and while she'd have been a length or 2 down at least then she'd have a chance to finish her race off instead of leaving it on the deck.
Report Cider January 8, 2017 2:07 PM GMT
She just clipped the top of it which threw off her balance, more bad luck than anything imo, horses will stand up after far worse mistakes. She's tiny of course which probably doesn't help.
Report differentdrum January 8, 2017 2:09 PM GMT
Wouldn't have won. Winner has found plenty to the line. Slow pace would not have suited and if it wasn't obvious beforehand he can now only be heading in one direction - Albert Bartlett.

Report posy January 8, 2017 2:14 PM GMT
I think she might have won if she'd stayed on her feet ,but who knows.
Report koikeeper January 8, 2017 2:14 PM GMT
I believe what I see and as I said before, DD is a hard horse to pass and actually pulled away going to the line...
I think DD would have worried AK out of it..just my opinion though..
Report differentdrum January 8, 2017 2:15 PM GMT
What are you talking about? On course reporter thought Walsh would have won. Quite capable of making up my own mind.

Dont know if DD would've held on, but its good to see the Ruby last flight threads back again. Feels like an age since the last batch even though he falls at the last apparently every racing day of the week.

As I said yesterday whoever's on board all the Mullins' fallers seem to either collapse over a hurdle or stumble on landing. Never seem to run through the hurdle and fall. Don't know if this is down to the way they're schooled or just a big coincidence.

Report Autocue January 8, 2017 3:26 PM GMT
It was weird the way he was whipping it on the neck in the run to the last. He succeeded in unbalancing the horse. He's alright posing out front but not a guy you want in a battle.

Report everton1978 January 8, 2017 8:56 PM GMT
She had to be whipped to straighten her.  Did nobody see her jink, possibly more than once, coming towards the last? I was on her heavy each way but no way could I blame the jockey on this occasion

Some of you say that Ruby laughs at some of the people on here. Most on here laugh at some of the people on here. Ye should try knitting or something like that.
