He was trying to get the horse to switch out wide IMO and persevered with it for too long before giving up and making his run where it did, should have just gone that way to start with as it would have won

Looked to be choking the horse then only let go when race over. Quite a drift pre race too..

to be fair it was hanging like a toilet door, he was hoping tp stay 3 horses wide but it just hang over to the rail.

all hindsight as he was 3 wide when the horse hung, if he'd have switched to the inner and got blocked everyone would say he should stay wide
