how many of those 52 were for the green and gold and are not meant to win?

could have an amazing strike rate if u take the non jiggers out Could he? Surely you'd still only have one winner. Unless you took 51 non-triers out. That said, I'm not sure how much weight I'd put on the original statistic. In December as a whole, Jonjo had 11 winners from 102 runners. |

Apologies to geoff m for taking so long that I missed his 100% post.

Was Ramruma the mare a natural blonde too?
Did she end up breeding for juddmonte? Seem to remember a filly out of her around 2002........ |
|
By:
Cacique - she was sold in 2003 by the Fahd Salman stud to John Magnier for 2.1m gns. She was in foal to Machiavellian; the resultant foal was pretty useless on the racecourse, was sold for 80k and then threw a couple of winners. Her third (of four to race) foal was Flying Cross who won a couple of races and was third in the Irish Leger.

The same lad fahd that owned generous and dies in 2001, knew I remembered a foal out of her but juddmonte must have bought it,
first she seems to be 2003 which is roughly the correct time |
|
By:
cacique - I only looked at the four that had raced. Her first foal was Weather Report (2003) who was purchased by Kirsten Rausing Lanwades Stud but was unraced. I can't find a record of Juddmonte purchasing any of her progeny.
One bit of related news is that a Chestnut Filly yearling out of her was sold on 27th September last year for Euros 225k. Her biggest priced foal. Mind you, she's by Frankel ![]() |

By:
Deffo remember a rat of ramruma in juddmonte then, could have been when fahd died in 01, god knows what happened.
On a lighter note, I hate chestnuts and poor Frankel throws a few, so based on that, I'm out! |

It happens every season but manages to keep his boss happy.

Never been a yard with a high % of winners / runners ratio
|
|
By:
They need to get a few letters in the form lines before they start winning ..
|
|
By:
I'd be more worried about the stable if they were banging in the winners left right and centre, everything though is going exactly to plan it seems.

Very good post (Duffy) !!!!
It's a real shame as I like Jonjo O'Neill but they just seem to be running very flat at present. |
|
By:
Whether the stables in form or not you ain't sure how they are going to run (apart from march)
|
|
By:
There are only 2 rules regarding gambolling. 1. Never bet on anything that breathes or is under the control of anything that breathes. 2. If you do ignore rule 1, never back or lay any horse from Jonjo's stable. I hope this is of assistance in clarifying the matter.

Spends half the season getting his horses back down the handicap.

^Don't they all?
|
|
By:
Short price favourite pulled up doesn't bed well for any stable backers. Just keep laying them until they start showing some improved form would be my advice.
