What an utter d**k-head!!!!
There was absolutely no need whatsoever to rush the horse into the last fence.  That is the 2nd time in December Jacob has shown himself a bit of a liability

From the moment he rousted the horse half way approaching the last fence, anyone with a modicum of intelligence would have thought "you don't need to do that" because if that horse doesn't come up for you or meets it on the wrong stride, you are in trouble.  Just thrown away a Grade 1 win for nothing and cost the owners almost £40K! (a substantial amount in training fees) Not to talk of the effect that could possibly have on the horse's confidence.  As has been highlighted by others, if the horse was mine he would never sit on it again.

Even C4 joining in: "going for a surprisingly long one at the last". As strong as C4 gets.

Equally as inept as the ride he gave West Of The Edge at Ayr before Christmas.  Looking around showboating on a horse that was coming towards the end of a 3-and-a-half mile hurdle race on heavy ground.

Good jockeys are those that make the fewest mistakes in most races - be that over jumps or on the flat.

What an idiot. He asked a lot of the horse during the race and it delivered in spades so why was he kicking and whipping going to the last when he was miles clear and all he had to do was pop it? He could have got the horse killed and I'm glad it gave him a good kicking as he tried to get up.
