No financial interest, but I awaited this thread appearing.
A jog round? |
By:
never off bridle, near nearer, in fairness you back a jockey like that, dont expect l dettori
By:
He had the perfect opportunity to get out but instead decided to go down the inside. A dodgy decision regardless of the rest that happened. Didn't even push it at any point.
By:
Yeah I backed it. Didn't put it in the race. Weird ride.
By:
Must admit I was surprised when he went back inside instead of challenging.
By:
That's because he is best mates with Egan and did not want to spoil the treble, lol.
No an absolute shocker of a ride!!! |
By:
I wonder what Boycie will say about ride on jolly
By:
Let's not beat around the bush: he stopped the horse.

When interviewed before the race, Cowell the trainer had already stated making excuses why it wouldn't win. Shane Gray was clearly riding to orders, never put in the race, never meant to be put in the race. Like the trainer said beforehand "the track will not suit him".........it wasn't off today and all the bull5hit excuses won't change that 1

I laid the jolly (still behind on the day) but as soon as he switched to the inside turning in,well, I knew that was that. Woeful.
By:
No sure about stopping it, just not a great jockey and his mind is not sharp enough to ride these tight thinking tracks!!!
By:
atr found 3 or 4 reasons why the fav couldnt win, unfortunately it was after the race was run.after timing at its finest.
By:
That may be so but we all seem to agree the space and track was there for him to take and he point blank refused to use it. One could argue it was a very bad choice but I am cynical where racing is concerned ie he stopped it.

nothing more than getting in a bad position around that track. poor ride but bent, give us a break
By:
stopped,no question ,hit them hard stewards,in the pocket and ban the horse.
By:
The Dealer, normally i would have agreed with you but the switch back inside when there appeared plenty of room to the outside which is often an advantage at Lingfield and particularly on a big horse that needs some space/winding up has put some doubt in my mind.
By:
i dont see the plenty of room on the outside turning in.

cruising thro race, with nature of track sit a length or two closer to pace, turn right off turn and win without turning a hair,
its not hard, probably tied down to sit out ground and sweep wide, unfortunatly there was no room turn in, beat |
By:
sir maximillian came upo the outside and sign of the kodiac moved out, i dont see enough room for him to get out.
By:
Dealer. Every losing FAV is a b3nt ride. And it's always the same tw@ts starting the threads when they do lose.

The issue is being debated 's. Kenbo and you bother to post a crass generalist if post.
By:
The dealer - oh dear thought you may be above such idiocy.
By:
what idiocy, there are plenty PT's on here imho poor ride but never bent imo
By:
G Baker, thats what a jockey looks like.
. |
By:
i just dont see any perfect opportunity to get out once he got in that position
By:
Talking through your pockets.
Thats why i make a living at this game and most of you dont. The best horse won the race. You back a big horse on a tight track, last time out it was held up and came with a late run. Today totally different circumstances. |
By:
That's because I am generalising, Enpassant.
Every day there's threads going up about losing FAVS, some people need to have a bit more dignity rather than crying 'foul' every time they lose on a FAV. |
By:
The agreement with 's. Ken post. We can all disagree on what we see but his post is just diatribe.
By:
What need is there for thar kenbo? It's a debate isn't that the whole point of posting anything on here? Don't bother posting if you think the thread is a waste of time....
By:
looks more like a hanging thread to me

Exactly.
