12.50 WESTERN WARRIOR 1pt e/w @ 7/1 - Ran in the fixed hurdle at Haydock, and caught the eye, the way he travelled, this is a decent looking novice chase, but the fav has already lost at short odds before and The Dutchman has a penalty. 14.50 FILL THE POWER 1pt e/w @ 22/1 - Bogged down in the mud latest. Better ground and a low mark of 122, looks a big price, wasn't running too badly in the spring and despite being 2lb out of handicap, can run a big race 1.40 APPLE JADE 1pt win @ 4/1 - Should be primed by now for a return to form, I thought she was the winner last week in the fighting fifth, interesting to see her out quickly, this is a tough race for the fav first time out |

WHO DARE WINS 1pt e/w @ 20/1 - 15.35 ASCOT - Top performance to land the Gerry Fielden Handicap Last time out, He was a very nice winner and could well have more to come from a mark 149. Win this and who knows where he will end up. BRAIN POWER 1pt e/w @ 14/1 - 15.35 ASCOT - Finished well to win at Sandown and was always travelling well, the winning distance didn't prove his supremacy over his rivals and even though he flopped in the Greatwood Hurdle, he will have come on a bundle from that effort and shouldn't be too far away in this, with the track likely to suit. RED INFANTRY 1pt Win @ 5/1 - 12.40 ASCOT - Looked a slick hurdler who can take apart a Novice field in my view. Might have top weight but has shaped well in competitive Handicaps so far. MORNING ROYALTY 1pt e/w @ 16/1 - 13.30 Haydock - Will be suited to this track and conditions and ran very well for a long way last time out and the soft ground is much better for this grinder. 3.00 Lac Fontana 1pt e/w @ 12/1 - Returning and stable have kept hold of this once talented hurdler, 9L behind Faugheen over 19F, now of 139, I believe will be involved in the finish here 1.15 Yanmare 2pt win @ 4/1 - No weight sneaks in and highly progressive and maybe is a 120 horse in the making 1.50 Baltazar D'Allier 3pt e/w @ 4/1 - Cant see this one unplaced in a hard 8. JP has some nice hurdlers currently and even know a chaser in the making, he looks a very nice prospect and takes his chance instead of Death Duty for the trainer. |
