Morning
how do they 'get' racing on Surely it's decided by the weather & not the racecourse? lol |
By:
some racecourses are better than others at getting racing on.
By:
can depend on how much they wont it on just look back at the day mccoy rode his 3,000th winner.
By:
Newcastle were prone to cancel a meeting or two when it suited them.
By:
Don't worry Thurles will be on , yet to be called off .The most dependable track in Ireland.
By:
That's reasureing workrider at least you and Holywell understood where I was coming from.
By:
With racecourses reportedly getting 7k+ per race when racing is on, I'm not a member of the conspiracy club that suggests they pick & choose when to race in bad weather
By:
It's not a case of that some are better than others at getting racing on .
By:
Anyway hopefully workrider will be right minus 4 and plenty of fog around in the morning I wouldn't fancy the likes of Haydock and Ludlow getting racing on.
By:
Fog seems to be following Irish racing, Punch,Gowran ,possibly Thurles unreal.
By:
No problems at present soil temperature plus 2 degrees.
That's some going description |
By:
pictures on atr now, fog looks the biggest problem.
By:
Two years ago they showed brilliant pictures from a hand held camera from a car there.
Forecast to linger in some places all day. Looked on tv to be fairly dense so hope that made it look worse than it really is. |
By:
Ive been racing a couple of times at Thurles when it was completely unraceable! Dont think they worry about the ground much there.
By:
They've done that a couple of times lately pa. Like at Gowran at the weekend. Preferred it to the normal view!
By:
Can look a bit strange but the detail is brilliant rather than the "long view",i prefer it as well CCM.
Car is only a few yards off the course there as well which makes it probably the best one for that. |
By:
I was there the first time they did it,think it was Ken Whelan who first had the idea and got a driver to take him round after them .
By:
Another WPM runner fares badly. He's had several disappointments lately.
By:
A load of Sh ite. Might as well not be watching the race for all the use the camera on the car is.
By:
Did the fav bring down total recall ?
they both seemed to go at the last |
By:
The car is going too fast ,needs to slow down.
By:
Indeed, the car was fine until the last, then accelerated away
and only the lucky few saw the fallers. Conspiracy IMO |
By:
They both looked very tired wallis. Think they fill independently.
By:
Think the driver thought the leaders were travelling better than they actually were!
By:
The car needs to be careful when it drives past the fly-tipping round the back!
By:
Thanks CCM.

By:
November WM 20 winners from 46 runners. GE 31 winners from 144. Almost twice GE's strike-rate.
By:
Possible 15 min delay (visibility)
By:
Fell independently winner would definitely had won .
By:
Hope you had a good day, bet you thought you were back in the 50s

It was a fantastic experience and I mean that workkrider you are very lucky to be able to go racing over here and have fun,yes it was a throw back to how racing was in England in the 70s and 80s I wasn't around in the 50s,everybody there actually watches the races difficult in the first of course, but once the fog cleared it was a great view, thankfully no big screen to spoil things, great to see more people with binoculars than you would see in a 30,000 plus crowd at York, really looking forward to the next 3 days .
By:
Glad you enjoyed it .
